Terms and conditions
These are the terms on which we sell. They are meant to be read, not survived. If anything here seems unfair, tell us and we will look at it.
Who you are buying from
The Manuals is the trading name of Foxpers Group.
You can reach us at contact@themanuals.in. A complaint goes to the same address and is read by a person. If it concerns an order, Amazon’s own process is faster and is what protects you.
Where the sale happens
Nothing is sold on this site. This site shows the work; each piece links to its own listing on Amazon, and the sale is made there.
That means the contract for a purchase is the one you enter into on Amazon, under Amazon's terms. Payment, delivery, cancellation and returns are all handled by them, and their terms — not these — govern what you bought.
These terms cover this site itself: what is written here, the photographs, and what we say about the work.
Prices
Prices shown here are in Indian rupees and are the price we expect a piece to be listed at. The price you pay is the one on the Amazon listing at the moment you buy, and that is the one that counts.
We keep the two the same. Where they differ — a listing changed, a page went stale — the listing is right and we would like to know.
Prices are set with the makers and change when their costs change.
What you are buying
Every work is made by hand from natural material, so the piece you receive will differ in detail from any photograph — in colour, in grain, in the line of a drawing. That is the nature of the work and not a defect; authenticity sets out where the line falls.
Goods sold here are made in India.
Delivery, cancellation and returns
Delivery timelines and rates are on the the Amazon listing you bought from. Cancellation and returns, including what happens if something arrives damaged, are on the the Amazon listing you bought from. Both form part of these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
No account here
This site has no sign-in, no password and no account. You can read all of it without telling us anything, and there is nothing of yours for us to hold.
An order placed on Amazon lives in your Amazon account, under their terms. We do not see it, and we cannot change or cancel it for you.
Using this site
The photographs, text and design on this site belong to us or to the makers we work with. Read them, share a link, quote a line — but do not reproduce the images or copy the site wholesale.
Do not attempt to interfere with the site, scrape it at volume, or use it to sell anything of your own.
If something goes wrong
We are liable for delivering what you ordered, in the condition described. We are not liable for losses neither of us could reasonably have foreseen when the order was placed, and our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. None of this limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, which cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when we confirmed it, and that is the version we will hold ourselves to.
