Care
Caring for your piece
Natural dye and hand-cut timber will outlast you if they are treated properly. These are general instructions; a piece ships with care notes specific to it.
Textiles
Hand wash cold with a mild, neutral soap. No bleach, no optical brighteners, no enzyme wash.
Wash separately for the first few washes. A little loose dye will come away; this is normal and stops.
Dry flat in shade, always. Direct sun fades natural dye faster than anything else you can do to it.
Wood
Hang on an interior wall away from direct sunlight and away from any wall that gets damp.
Dust along the grain with a dry, soft brush. Never use commercial polish, solvent or water.
Repairs
If a piece is damaged, write to us before attempting anything. In most cases the original maker can repair their own piece, and we would rather they did.
